BLUE JACKET 2007 PRINCIPLE CAST MEMBERS SCOTT LEAKE AS BLUE JACKET
SCOTT LEAKE will be portraying the title role of Blue Jacket for his third year in 2007. Mr. Leake was also seen on the Blue Jacket stage as Chief Black Hoof in the 2003 production. A member of Actor's Equity Association, he was the first intern to be awarded his union status by playing Miles in The Drawer Boy with the Virginia Stage Company. In addition to a distinguished list of stage credits, Scott has taught theatre at such notable companies as the New York Film Academy and the Orlando Repertory Theatre. He has also taught acting and theatre history at the University of Central Florida, Sinclair Community College and Wright State University. In early 2006 he performed in The Tempest at the Human Race Theatre which won a DayTony for Best Ensemble. Scott was last seen in the World Premier of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow as Brom Bones here on the Blue Jacket stage. * PETER FITZKEE AS BLACK FISH
PETER FITZKEE will be returning to portray Chief Black Fish for the third year during the 26th season of BLUE JACKET. Mr. Fitzkee is a graduate of the Ohio University’s MFA Professional Actor’s Training Program and is a recognized combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors 2006. Regional credits include; Leslie in Seascape, Doc in Crimes of the Heart, both at the Human Race Theatre in Dayton; Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Don John in Much Ado About Nothing, Sir Lionel in Camelot, and Roy in Lonestar. He has choreographed fights for Romeo and Juliet in Tulsa, Muncie and Nashville, Macbeth in New Jersey and Ohio, Utah! in Utah, and the regional premiere of Shane right here on the Blue Jacket stage. * CONRAD NEWMAN AS DANIEL BOONE
CONRAD NEWMAN returns for his second season of BLUE JACKET. He is a recent graduate from the University of Kentucky with a BA in theatre. Favorite roles of the past include Demetrius in Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus, Constantine in Charles Mee’s Big Love, and Roy in James McClure’s Lone Star. In September, Conrad will go to New Stage Theatre in Jackson, MS to start an internship lasting through May of 2008. * TRACY VADEN MOORE AS CLEARWATER
TRACY MOORE will be portraying Clearnwater in the 26th season of BLUE JACKET. She is a recent graduate of the Gainesville Theatre Alliance in Gainesville, GA. Some of her favorite roles include: Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Cathy in The Last Five Years, Celia in As You Like it, Mollie Malloy in The Front Page and Lady Fluttertwig in Sleeping Beauty. * JULIAN MARTINEZ AS CAESAR
JULIAN MARTINEZ is joining BLUE JACKET for his first summer. He is a B.F.A. Acting major at Elon University. His most recent role was in Elon University’s performance of Bent as the KAPO in April. His Elon credits also include Leland from Blues for an Alabama Sky, and Wrath from Gladiators (original production). He is also a member of Developing Artist Theatre Company in New York City, and has performed in their productions of These Days, Free Donuts, and Billy Sleepy Head. * KYLE WEISHAAR AS BLACK HOOF
KYLE WEISHAAR is from Paducah, Kentucky and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. Kyle has been in several plays at the Guignol Theatre including Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Titus Andronicus. This will be Kyle's first year portraying Chief Black Hoof in BLUE JACKET. * ALEX MARSHALL BROWN AS SARAH
ALEX MARSHALL BROWN is portraying Sara in BLUE JACKET for the 2007 season. Alex is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro B.F.A. acting program. While there she performed in shows such as Death & the Kings Horseman, Trojan Women, and Road. Memorable roles include Lady in Red in For Colored Girls . . . , and Inmate in Marat/Sade. * ANDREA GRAVES AS PEGGY BLUE JACKET
ANDREA GRAVES is returning for her fourth year of BLUE JACKET. She will be portraying Peggy for the second year during the 2007 season. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Performing Arts: Acting. Andrea has been blessed by working with the Equestrian family for the past three years. Her roles with First Frontier, Inc. include Jemima Boone, Nancy, and Peggy in Blue Jacket and Katrina Van Tassel in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Her other professional credits include Ophelia in Hamlet and Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol.
