The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

Based off Washington Irving's Short Story

Written for the stage by David Dortch

Directed by Daryl Copeland

Playing September 6-September 30, 2007

Shows perform Thursday to Sunday

CLOSED FOR THE 26TH SEASON

“Many spirits haunt the Hollow...but what goes on Halloween night is a gathering of

demons, and the Headless Horseman presides.”

Sleepy Hollow is a place of infinite possibilities. It is a place where Brom Bones, the local hero, is in a constant battle with the local damsel, Katrina Van Tassel, for her hand in marriage; it is a place whose balance is easily upset when a school teacher from out of town called Ichabod Crane shows up; and it is a place haunted by something so sinister, that the locals only dare refer to it as “the collector”. In this adaptation of Washington Irving’s classic, several questions will be answered: who are the people of Sleepy Hollow, what does it mean to be afraid of the dark, and how does the Headless Horseman choose who is next?! -David Dortch
